Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), also known as Fetal Calf Serum (FCS), is the most widely used growth supplement for cell culture media due to its high content of embryonic growth-promoting factors.  Scope of application：

Fat-free fetal bovine serum can be used to study the correlation between protein kinase CK2-α' and lung metastasis of adenoid cystic carcinoma:

1. The protein kinase CK2 is composed of two aa'ββ-type heterotetramers with 42-44KDa and 38KDa respectively. The structure is very stable and can only be dissociated under denaturing conditions in vitro. In addition to the cell matrix, some viral proteins are also phosphorylated by CK2. The protein kinase CK2 plays a role in transcription, signaling, proliferation, and various cellular steps leading to tumorigenesis.

2. Protein kinase is the largest member of the enzyme family and is used to complete the catalysis of protein phosphorylation, which is the most common mechanism for controlling cell life activities. One of the most effective protein kinases may be CK2. Protein kinase CK2 (PKCK2) was once called cascin kinase 2 or Ⅱ (cascin kinase 2 or Ⅱ) in the past. It is a heterogeneous tetramer composed of two catalytic subunits (aa') and two regulatory subunits (ββ).
